The fans were confused due to the fact that they had never even known that Dove and Tom had met. It seemed as if the fans weren't the only ones confused. Ariana Grande, best friend of Tom Holland, had posted a picture of her and Holland hours before Dove posted hers.

in her caption she put 'my bffl 🖤☁️' meaning my best friend for life. Tom and Ariana have been friends for years but it seems like Ariana didn't even know about Dove and Tom either.
In the comment section of Ariana's post dove commented 'he's so adorable 😍'. This caused people to freak out, especially when Ariana replied to her comment with 'um... yeah he is.'.

Ariana's short answer seemed to insinuate that she didn't know Tom and Dive were dating. Dove did post her picture with Tom after Ariana and Toms photo was posted. So, was Dove just a little bit jealous or was she planning on that post the whole time?
