"Morning kid, how was you first day of being a bar maid?" Sammy asked me when i went to he breakfast table aunt Paula had set out.
"It was good thank you" i said looking straight at John.
"Didn't get too drunk i hope?" Tommy asked grinning.
"Of course she did." Ada joked.
"meet any young men?" She asked me.
"Ew no, they where all ugly old men." I replied screwing up my face, Ada laughed in response along with aunt Paula.
"You be careful, they'll all be after you." Paula cautioned.
I did a sick noise and went on to eat my porridge.
"You are gonna have to get back into school soon kid." Sammy said breaking the silence.
"What! They are just gonna teach me how to sew and knit, and make me be a maid, and there is no point in that because, I ain't bein a maid!" I exclaimed.
"You only have a few more months left" tommy said back.
"Exactly, and Finn didn't have to!" i replied
"that's because Finn is in the peaky blinders and will be for a long time." Sammy pointed out calmly.
"I ain't goin to school." I stuck stubbornly.
"Fine, you win ape." He pet out a massive breath, i ginned at him a massive toothy grin.
"Love ya." i said sweetly.
