How Demon Next Door (part 10)

"Plenty" Daimon mumbled once more, biting his lips slightly
I flipped the bed spread over and dangled my legs over the edge .
I stared at Daimon for a couple of seconds expecting him to do something...something amazing and not human but he didn't.
I raised my hands in the air and shrugged my shoulders. "Well..?"
"Well" Daimon said "Let's go for a walk"
He afforded his hand toward me "A walk?"
I wish I could have seen the expression on my face because Daimon laughed lightly.
"Yeah, a walk" he laughed again pulling me off the bed
"Are you serious? You woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me to take a walk with you?" I said befuddled
He smirked and crossed his arms.
"If all you wanna do is take walks, then I suggest you should purchase a puppy! All these weird things you do is starting to freak me out, Daimon. You don't wake teenage girls up in the middle of the night and expect happy giggles and dimples. I swear...."
As I rambled on Daimon started smiling and covered his mouth as if to hide laughing.
I snatched a pillow off my bed and threw it at him. "Why are you laughing at me? I'm serious!"
Daimon slapped the pillow to the ground without even looking at it. He laughed again anyway
"First, if you keep it up you're going to wake your whole house and we'll never make it out the door. And second, it's funny when you're mad."
I gave him an annoyed look
"C'mon let's go" he kicked my fuzzy slippers at me and tossed me my purple robe on my dresser
I put on the robe and slid on my slippers. Daimon headed for the window
I chased after him. "Where are we going exactly?"
"I told you, we're going for a walk."
"Yes. But where are we going?"
He didn't answer but he helped me climb out the window.
Once we were on the ground we walked around the house 'til we make it the street.
Daimon didn't say anything, I didn't say anything. You'd think it wouldn't be awkward once a guy shows up in your room and you spend time with for the a whole day... but it was
We were half way down the street without anyone saying anything
I had to break the silence
"So you got me out here, what now."
"Will you stop complaining" he said "After all you could use the exercise"
I stopped in my tracks "Ugh!"
"OH!" Daimon said apologetically "I didn't mean it like that, I meant like...Like you don't get outside much and that you're always inside. You're just not an outdoors person. I didn't mean it in a bad-mannered way, I swear!"
Daimon looked like he murdered someone. And I know he didn't realize what he said before he said it. Daimon isn't the type of person to say that. So I kept walking
The awkward silence came back
I was starting to think this stupid walk was well... stupid
Out of nowhere Daimon said "I didn't mean it like that, sorry."
