Number Twenty One "Untitled"

--

"Come on," you say, "Save the Earth!" but what,

What do you know about that?

Is it truly, simply, once a yearly

An occasion of false promises, merely?

Can a lightbulb change the world?

Will the catalyst be a single word?

A change of heart can mean everything

False promises amount to nothing

Our future seems so dark and dreary

Yet we always seem to hurry

Progress in its steps

And our human greed does nothing to help

Is needless destruction here to stay?

Will tomorrow's sun be as bright as today?

Will our children see trees and animals in the wild?

Think of our Mother, Little Earth Child
