🍁 Fall Leaves 🍁

With tints of red and hues of gold
Verdant summer, nature does let go
Life slumbers beneath thick snow
When it surrenders to the winter cold

Verdant summer, nature does let go
Harvest done, the leaves grow old
Then it surrenders to the winter cold
Patiently waiting for Spring to follow

Harvest done, the leaves grow old
And fly free as the wind does blow
Patiently waiting for Spring to follow
As Nature knows Winter doesn't hold.

And fly free as the wind does blow
Return to earth as rich leaf mould
As Nature knows Winter doesn't hold
An ageless cycle as times does flow.

Return to earth as rich leaf mould
Life slumbers beneath thick snow
An ageless cycle as times does flow
With tints of red and hues of gold

An incomplete poem, now finished. I was not sure what exactly I wanted to say in the first instance, but this version seems pleasant enough.
