Victory, it was never going to be ours
Every day we fought a battle, it
Raged on and on, neither of us would concede
You preferred the red one, me the white
Something had to give
On that rainy day, when you finally left
Over forty years had passed and only me and god will know how sad I felt, as I felt your hand slip from mine
Now, how I wish I'd been happy with my lady in red
