Fortunately, in general, we have no control over either, let's hope it stays that way, would you want to live forever?

Fortunately, chaos was good for us
Out of the mayhem, life was born
Reason and doubt have now replaced the turmoil
Try as one might, there seems no sensible reason to clutter the universe with sentient life
Unless perhaps there is a greater power
Now why is that, you may ask
All life forms have developed senses, of one kind or another
Try to imagine Lucifer and God as the universal artists
Embrace the possibility that their creation was never to be witnessed
Lucifer and God may well have debated the futility of such an act
You, on the other hand, might imagine that they chose to sculpt something that could sense and share the beauty of their creation, one good and one evil version so that chaos would still reign
