Chapter 1 - The Plan

 

It was a very tiring and boring Friday night when I was scrolling down on my iPad to see my friend’s posts on my facebook’s newsfeed but then something caught my attention.

What a prick!!!!

How dare him!

Ryan is already with another girl!!! We’ve just broken up 1 month ago! Tapos may kapalit na kagad ako? And the fact na nag upload na siya kagad ng picture nila together infuriates me!

I need a drink! I badly need a drink!  It hurts my ego, you kno!

But not tonight, I still have 1 last exam tomorrow for this sem. Damn! I need to pas or else mom's gonna cut half of my shoppibg allowance.

“Let’s chill tomorrow night?”

I hit the post button, within 1 minute I got replies from my friends but something again caught me off guard.

It’s Rocky’s comment saying that he misses me like forever and we should hang out tomorrow night.

By the way Rocky is.. wait, how do people call it here…

Yeah right, Rocky is my puppy love.

When I visited Manila the First time flying alone I was an 8th grader. My cousins from my mother’s side fetched me up at the airport and some of their friends tagged along.  That’s how I met Rocky, we became friends and we hit it off right away. We dated for almost 2 months but we made an agreement that we’re gonna end it after my vacation. Pero pagkatapos namin noon mag break nung aalis na ko pabalik ng States we made sure na we are in good terms.

Sa lahat ng ex-boyfriend ko siya lang ang hindi bitter sa’kin para kaming bestfriends kung mag usap he was so excited nung nalaman nya na dito na ko sa Pilipinas magkacollege pero nung pag uwi ko hindi pa rin kami nakapag kita hanggang ngayon dahil he got himself a girlfriend, and it was serious one so he became very ‘busy’ I got curious kung break na sila so I went to his profile and found out na single na siya.

Well, well, well, kaya naman pala. Hahaha! Naalala ko yung sabi nung pinsan ko, her girlfriend was like a walking jar of jealousy kaya wala talaga siyang social life.

Hmmmm..

As I scroll down nakita ko yung mga tagged photos nya. He’s still around with the same people.

The coolest guys I’ve ever met. Van the sweet guy and the twins who always have a perverted jokes, Justin and Jowelle.

I smirk.

Si Van he’s approximately 6’2 tall as well as the twins and Rocky, kaya lang he’s the type of tall dark and handsome parang si Tom Rodriguez with those cute dimples. While Jow and Just is the chinito type of guy because they’re half Korean and half Filipino, matangos ang ilong, singkit at maputi. Si Jow he looks like Lee Jun Ki while Justin he looks excactly like Kim Bum, they look like Korean bad boys with those black leather jackets  on. And Rocky, he looks like Xian lim, strong jaw and cheekbones with  kissable lips and upturned eyes.

Gumwapo silang lahat hindi na sila yung skinny highschool boys na nakilala ko noon nung unang kita ko sakanila, nung time na sinundo ako nung mga pinsan ko sa airport long long time ago.

They’re certainly not ‘boys’ anymore, they’re damn good looking guys now.

I’ve been living on my own here in Manila for almost 2 years now pero hindi ko pa rin sila nakakasama after nung huling bakasyon ko dito which is almost 3 years ago na. Pano ba naman kami magkikita kita we are all busy tapos itong bahay na binili sakin ni Bobby medyo malayo sa subdivision nila Ken, yung pinsan kong nagpakilala sakin kila Rocky, tapos nag migrate pa sila Ken, Tito and Tita and my two other cousins.

So wala na kaming connection kaya walang dahilan para makapag kita kami even though andito na ko sa Pilipinas nakatira, hindi rin naman ako palaging nakatambay sa Facebook no, sa Skype pwede pa because of mom and dad, and dad means Bobby.

And now my eyes are glued to the one and only Roland Valenzuela.

OMG.

Rocky is friends with this pig! A pig but still being wanted half of the women's population sa school.

He has a reputation of sleeping around, as in hump and dump kind of guy. He’s such a pig. Ugh.

Pero di ko makakaila na gwapo naman talaga siya. Matangos yung ilong, manipis yung labi and shows his perfectly white teeth na sobrang ganda ng shape when talks. His jaw was perfectly chiseled. May dimple din siya pero hindi kasing lalim nung sakin saka sa isang cheek lang yung dimple nya, hindi katulad ng sa'kin magkabila.

Parang siyang may dugong Espanyol sa kagwapuhan niya.

Hanggang ngayon naaakit pa rin ako sa mata nya. Isang beses ko pa lang siya nakasalubong  sa campus, at take note, nung nagkasalubong kami yung tingin na binigay nya sa’kin para nya kong hinuhubaran.

He’s mentally undressing me when I was passing by to get into my car.

Jeeez.

Itong sa picture pa nga lang nakaka intimidate na yung tingin nya eee isipin mo pano pa kaya pag kayo lang dalawa.

Pero biglang may pumasok sa isip ko.

Si Shana Libiran.

Yunga best friend ko sa buong Uni. As in my number one bff na mahal na mahal ko.

Jeez, I wanna vomit this sarcasm.

As far as I can remember she’s really devasted when  Roland the great dumped her.

So if I can make friends with this guy alam kong sasabog na parang bulkan sa galit yung babae na yon.

Hahahahahahaha! That's a nice plan. I don’t have a plan getting into his pants. Friends lang, he’s such a pig noh,  I may be dating different guys but atleast 2 months pinaka mabilis. I don’t like sleeping around or let’s just say I’m not into one night stand kind of thing.

So he’s friends with my friends, I know for sure magiging friends din kami. And that would be the death of Shana.

I replied as quickly as possible to Rocky’s comment.

“Sure, I’ll meet you guys tomorrow night then. Text me!”

I smiled to myself.

He immediately sent me a message asking for my number.

Yes! Tomorrow night will be exciting!

Ha, take that Ryan! You’re not the only one who’s having a good time.

Ryan was the guy I dated for almost 7 months? I’d been friends with his friends pero dahil sa sobrang childish niya, sinabihan nya yung mga friend nya na wag na kong kausapin or lapitan ‘cause we’re over. Eh yung mga tanga naman sinunod siya, mga underdog.

I guess we’re never really friends then. It’s their loss not mine.

Madami akong kaibigan, di ako nauubusan. The sad part, I don’t know who’s real and who’ll stick with me when hard time comes.
