Everyone watched in silence as the heiress sat with her eyes closed and her hands shaking. The tension that filled the room, its pregnant silence could be cut with a knife. 

Then suddenly, she opened her eyes, she looked so serious, the type of face she would pull only when her byakugan was activated. This caused many to gasp, not expecting to see her battle face right at that moment. She picked up the contract and bit her thumb, drawing more than enough blood needed. She smeared it onto the contract whilst pumping her chakra into it. 

Once that had been done, one of the elders, retrieved the contract and took it away. No one made a move. Hiashi watched the branch members. They stayed where they were. They gave nothing away. He let out a breath that he had been unaware he had held.

"What shall your first command be Hinata-sama?" one of the elders asked.

Ordinarily, a new head would propose a new policy or a way to improve a policy. Others would ask to form an alliance with a clan or nation that would prove to be difficult in any other circumstance. A head that wishes to prove the unity of the clan would ask for the construction of a new section on the manor, which proves the true extent of loyalty of the branch family. They would have free will but would choose to work hard, over an extended period of time, which would be so respectable amongst Hyuga heads that your story would be told for many generations to your successors. Hinata was fully aware of the fact that could easily do that, but instead,

she stood up and looked directly at the elders and her father, the same serious face,

"Release her," Hinata demanded, her voice so cold and eerie, no one understood why she was behaving so out of character.

"Who, Hinata-sama?" one of the branch members asked as a group of them were looking ready to leave the room to go fetch whoever their matriarch was asking for from the clan holding cells or even Konoha prison for that matter. Hiashi felt a sense of pride bubble up in his weak form, which allowed him to sit up straighter, enjoying the fact that the branch members were so willing to help his daughter even when they had the choice not to.

"I was referring to the elders and my father, however, I appreciated your devotion" Hinata replied the same cold tone was present in her voice, her stutter had completely disappeared,

"Y-Your first command is n-not for u-us?" One of the female branch members stuttered,

"You were all kind to me for many years, you have no need to prove that you are loyal to me, there is no reason for you to prove something to me that I already know" Hinata replied as gently as she could in her current position and turned back to her father and the elders,

"I command you to release her" She stated again, her cold eyes staring at them, Naruto's eyes knitted in worry, not familiar with this side of Hinata, it actually sent an unwelcomed chill down his spine. While his best friend, who had been standing by his side, watched the scene slightly impressed at the fact that Hinata was clearly standing up for something she believed in, he noticed that it was a rare occurrence for her to bring it across in the way she was currently doing right now. He could not help but find her newfound aura of dominance very alluring. The once shy and stuttering girl was replaced, by a stone-faced cold cold-toned woman. What could have possibly upset her so much?
