update: aa im sorry to say that i've kinda lost interest in chinese dramas/might be that i don't have time for them anymore. i have moved on to chinese singers tho which is an equally interesting subject aha. anyway tho, chinese drama binging for my entire childhood has been a really great experience and rewatching all those dramas fr brings back so many memories. im just sad to say that i might not be updating this anymore
anyway honorable mention is Word of Honor (山河令). it's another BL adaptation and is a really fun drama. i never got to adding it to this list bc i've kinda lost the motivation to talk about dramas, but yall should check it out!
and ofc theres Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms which is basically the king of its genre, blew up in 2017. pretty nice as well. the filming with the lighting and costumes and stuff was really good.
