Pen

I know I have said it many times before, but it always seems to come up in conversations with the younger writers here on Wattpad.

"Can someone give me an idea. I don't know what to write."

We are only limited by our own imagination.

I sit her now looking at a simple ball point pen.

The little clip on the plastic cover is broken off.

I wonder what I was thinking while I fiddled with that plastic cover?

I wonder what idea came to me so suddenly when i accidentally snapped it off?

The pen's ink is nearly half gone.

What wondrous ideas did I have to use that much ink?

Did I act on those ideas and create something?

There is a mark on the pen.

Looks like a cat's bite.

Did Storm try to go off with this pen at some time?

Did Eva find this pen somewhere other than the computer room and return it to the desk, knowing I would be looking for it?

Where did I buy that pen?

I have at least a half dozen more like it.

Why did I choose this one?

Why did I choose this colour pen; a very light blue?

Why is the pen on my left side when I am right handed?

If this pen could talk, what could it tell me?

Would it tell me about how it was created?

The forming of a plastic tube.

The insertion of a cylinder, filled with ink.

The addition of the metal balled tip and the little cap on the top and finally the plastic cover, with the little clip.

The clip that I accidentally broke off.

All of this from simply looking at a 25 cent plastic light blue coloured pen, with a broken clip.

Now ask me again about ideas for your writing.

Just look around you.
