"Lorraine you can't just get away with your work!" Leah, my friend not just friend but best friend starts scolding at me as I just gave her an annoying grin
"C'mon I'm hungry!"I grumbled as she put her hand on her hip "Leah, 10 minutes... before our boss get back here..." I added getting my bag
"Lorraine, she needed the work by 3 and it's already 12:30" she said looking at my paper works, I grinned at her "I'm already done Lee" I said grinning as I walked to the elevator.
I'm Lorraine Clavinely or Lorri, 26 years old living in California and I'm working at the Harrollaw Advertising Company, I'm the secretary of my human-slash-monster boss. The CEO of the company Shirley Harrollaw, I hate her but I have to work to pay my bills, I've got no stable jobs before until I was hired in their company. She's so mean but I get it though, because if I were the boss too, I'll get meaner and kind of look monster. Ms. Harrollaw is a very pretty lady though...
I found myself into this Mexican restaurant, I'm craving for this actually and I'm alone. The place was almost full and thank goodness I found a seat for 2 near the large window and didn't hesitate but to sit there, I actually hate sitting near the windows with the outside's looking in. I ordered my food and waited.
"alone?"someone in my front asks me as I tilted my head looking at him up. It's a man though...
"I don't know, what do you think?" I smirked as he let out a chuckle.He's annoying me already. I actually hate meeting man, I never got a time for it. I got no time for whatsoever called love.
"I guess you are, mind if I sit here?" he asks as he sat down in front of me
"you're already sitting there..." I mumbled and he let out a chuckle again
That chuckle is getting on my nerves, is he really like this or he's just trying to piss me off? Ugh. I just continue looking at my phone, scrolling up and down as I caught him staring, I rolled my eyes on him. I finished eating and ready to go. I'm wearing this gray below the knee fitted dress with cardigan on that accentuates my curves and a pair of cheap nude pumps.
"you're going already?" he smirked as I stood up
"what do you even care?" I rolled my eyes on him as I made my way out
"you are kind of being rude, you know..." he said as I slightly flinched, he scared the hell out of me by standing beside me, he is creepy I must say
"do I even know you mister?!" I asks in my not so pleasant tone
"not yet but I'm quite sure you wanted to know me" he grinned at me
If he's planning to pissed me off well congratulations because it is working... I could tell he's used to it, he got this v- neck white shirt with a leather jacket and pair of denim jeans with sneakers. I narrowed my look on him as he gave me a smile. I must admit it, he's cute but still no, my past won't even let me get out of it. In the past with full of pain and until now, it keeps on eating me.
"not a chance" I said as I rolled my eyes walking away from him. I know that kind of moves, he's flirting with me, I really knew it, but not going to happen, I'm not into it. I get back to the office and surprisingly Ms. Shirley is already there and Leah is looking at me with death glare and I gave him my annoying grin.
"great! Ms. Clavinely, my secretary you're here finally!" Ms. Shirley said madly but sarcastically,
"good afternoon Ms. Harrollaw" I grinned annoyingly as she just looked at me as well as Leah, I'm not in the good mood since that man came up in me and now my boss is mad and as always though
"where did you go?" she raised a brow with her hands on her hips
"lunch break ma'am" I said walking in my desk
"did I told you that you are able to get lunch break after you finished your work for this morning?" she asks angrily, as I grab the folders and papers she asked earlier and hand it to her
"all done ma'am" I smiled and winked at Leah and she rolled her eyes. Ms. Harrollaw grab the folders and papers in my hand as she sighed
"I don't like the attitude Ms. Clavinely, thank goodness you're not gonna be my secretary anymore..." Ms. Harrollaw said as my eyes widened. What did she mean? Is she gonna fire me? Oh well I lasted 4 months though and I also don't like her attitude for being such a bitch.
"don't worry, I won't fire you,I actually like you for being quick in work you also always doing great, just your attitude is what I kind of don't like..." she assuredly smiles at me. That gave me relief chills. I smiled at my boss and she goes to her office.
"Ms. Clavinely, come to my office, I have few words on you..." she said as she completely left
"bitch what was that?!" Leah came into my office and leaned on my desk with her hand supporting her weight
"I was just doing my work, I'm always like that...she needs someone who can afford her attitude like me" I grinned as Leah once again rolled her eyes,
"stop rolling your eyes, your eyes might get stuck inside, I might not get to see your beautiful eyes again" I joked and she slapped my arm playfully
"I have to go at Ms. Harrollaw's office" I said as we both came out of my office and I got into my boss' office.
"Have a sit Lorraine" she ordered and so I did what she says
"I'm gonna have to let you go" she sighed as I just stared at her
"uhm, okay..." I traced my words, I guess I have to look for another job "you mind if I have this newspaper?" I ask as she smiled at me, "you know, new jobs to find..." I chuckled nervously
"that's not what I meant Lorraine! I told you I'm not gonna fire you" she laughed as I just looked at her and nervously let out a chuckle, "you're funny"she laughed as I just stared at her studying her face
"my brother, he's going to work here, as the head of the company, I'm moving in New York, ManhattanLorraine, and you know, our father wants him to work here, he really is not into this work, but he has to, has to be part of this though..." she explained as I consecutively nod
"what I'm trying to say here is he's gonna be your new boss, you're going to be his secretary, I mean if you want to, if you don't want you can resign right now, I'm pretty sure you also do not want to move inNew York right?" she looked at me with a slightly smile formed on her lips
"yeah I mean New York?! No way... and I'm thinking that he's really nice just like you ma'am, I really needed a job so I guess I'll stay..." I assuredly smiled as she grinned at me
"great! You really never failed me Lorraine, I'm just sad,I have to deal with another new secretary" she pouted, she's like this though,sweet and nice. Now I wonder about my next boss, it's a guy though I guess her younger brother, how I hope he would be nice like his sister but not as mean asher sister though. Minutes past and there is a man came into Shirley's office.
"Bradley! You're finally here, we said 12, not 1:36!"
