~Chapter 12~

~Discovery~

Blood returned to my head and I finally woken up.

"Gah!" I screamed in pain as i struggled to sit up. Surrounding me was numerous broken mechanical parts. It was as if I was in a grave yard or battle arena. It had dark walls and very dimmed lights making it hard to see. "Sally! Jeff! Samantha! Someone! Anyone!" I yelled into the distance. No response from them came. I struggled again due to my aching bones to get up and started walking.

This is like the train wreck all over again! And another thing, where the hell is K-C!

K-C startled me,"I'm here."

"Where have you been when the flying thingy came and snatched us away?"

"Updating. Heat sensory on."

My eyes turned bright red and my vision became clearer than ever.

"Woah..." I said in awe. I started walking slowly around the dead space. It was quiet, a little too quiet. A few minutes later, I came upon a small tunnel shaped of a very long slide implanted into the floor.

"K-C, what's down there?" I asked curiously. I stepped closer to the edge of the abyss and kicked a metallic part down the hole. It fell down and echoed for ten seconds. "Pretty steep." I said as I went to grab more to experiment with the tunnel.

*Cough* *Cough*

"Cindy? Jeff? Who's there!?" My voice was filled with excitement and relief that I wasn't alone. I ran off in the direction of the coughs and it got louder as I got closer.

Throughout the pile of rubble, out pops a head. I knew instantly that it was someone I didn't know.

"Um, hello?" I said as I stepped back a few steps.

"Hello." The stranger said. He tried to get up but fell straight to his knees in the rubble.

"Let me help you." I jogged towards him and lent out my right hand. He accepted it and I pulled him to his feet. He was this young man, around my age. He had spiky black hair and he wore a dark black jacket with matching pants and boots. He also wore dark ranger shades.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

He looked at me and studied me the same way I did him. He finally spoke up, "Codename Axel, ranger of the 76th region."

The 76th region..?

"What's that?" I asked in curiosity.

"Classified, sorry."

"OK..Hey, I found this tunnel but I don't know where it goes" I walked off to find the tunnel again but this monstrous sized robot emitted from the sky. It landed with a loud thump on the ground. Two bus sized arms with cannons attached to each arm and a pair of legs out of this world. It let put a monstrous roar more terrifying than a horde of demons from the underworld. I could hear our hearts beat in syncopation of terror.

"The only way out is through the tunnel, let's go!" I ran towards the tunnel preparing to jump in. I looked back to see Axel toppled over, again.

Ugh...

I ran towards him and picked him up. "I gotcha." I said as I dragged him towards the tunnel.

"Cover your eyes!" He yelled. As I steadily dragged him to the tunnel, I didn't do as he told me to do. He pulled a small ball like bomb from his coat pocket and press some small switches activating it. The small, yet powerful bomb emitted a devastating blast of light blinding me and the mechanical beast. Since I couldn't see, I tripped face first in the tunnel pulling Axel with me into the unknown. Falling down the unknown, we heard the monstrous roar echoing in our ears signalling us that the end is near.

We slid in all directions in the tunnel until we finally reached the summit. At the end was the most terrifying thing to see. I couldn't breathe anymore. Seeing them there, it made my heart stopped.
