The Tales of Opti Prime and Nio

Do Not Doubt

Opti sat on the floor of Speed Demon's lab. Nio, her fiver year-old brother was asleep on one of the lab tables. Speed Demon was doing some reseach on Nio's condition and how to fix it. She had stepped out for bit to speak with her husband, Nightmare. Opti and Nio were both asleep. Suddenly, Nio sprung awake and started crying. Opti woke up and looked at him. She then picked him up. "Shhh, Nio," she said, rocking him in her arms. "What's wrong?"

"I... I had a n...ightmare..." he told her.

"What happened in this nightmare?"

"Speed Demon was dead... And M-mystic looked up to me... As Keila's best friend..."

"And why is that a bad thing?"

"She can't look up to me... I'm not worthy."

"You'll always be worthy, Nio."

"No, I-"

"Yes, you are worthy. You're smart a brilliant. She could look up to you."

Opti hugged him tightly. "Don't doubt yourself, baby brother," she said.

"But you do..." Nio replied.

"I'm trying to stop. Never doubt, Nio."

"Yes, sissy."

"Good."

Opti smiled. She made a point she wished she could learn.
