Squid and Octo (Pearlina)

Part 1

Marina's POV

*Off the Hook opening theme plays*

Pearl is sitting across from me and starts the newscast as usual
"Y'all know what time it is!"
"It's Off the Hook coming at you LIVE from Inkopolis Square!
We are about to announce the stages when Pearl interrupts the usual flow of things
"Yo, Marina! Tell the peeps the good news before we announce the stages!"
"Huh? Like, right now?! Um... Can you remind me what the news is again oPearl?"
"You know... The single most important celebration of our culture? The Splat—"
"OOH! THE SPLATFEST!"
"Ding ding ding! We've got a splatfest coming real soon!"
"Splatfests always get my ink pumping! I should get my gear ready!"
"Hey, Marina. Tell us what the splatfest theme is this time?"
"Haaaah... I'm too nervous to look. You do it."
"Fine. The Splatfest theme this time is... WHAT?!"
"What's the theme Pearlie? TELL MEEE!!"
"Okay, here it is."
*gulp*
"The Splatfest theme Is... Squid Vs Octopus!" After we announced the Splatfest theme, we announced what the regular, ranked, and league stages were and said our grizzco sponsor
"Check our this new jingle I wrote for grizzco—"
"And that's all the time we have!"
We both end it off with saying our catchphrase
"Don't get cooked... Stay Off the Hook!"
Our producer cuts the camera after that and we're done for the day.
"Ahhh~ we're done for the day, Whatcha wanna do now Rina?"
"I'm not sure... we could get some ice cream or something."
"Nah, Cake is better"
"Ugh, you're STILL going on about this?"
"Well yeah! Cake is way better than ice cream anyways"
This went on for several hours, and between many different splatfest themes.
