They had been running nearly nonstop for a few months now, and in that short amount of time Logan had acquired a pickup truck with a camper attached to the back.  It was just big enough for the two of them to live in, but they really didn’t mind it as long as they had each other.  Of course the father and daughter pair was currently in a rundown bar out in the middle of nowhere, and to make money Logan had taken up cage fighting.  Faith was of course sitting by the bar drinking sodas and other non alcoholic drinks, and her father was of course in the cage located right in the middle of the massive bar room.  “Are there any contenders wanting to challenge the currently undefeated Wolverine?”  The referee slash announcer asked of the rowdy crowd that had grown slightly during the few days they had stayed there, and she watched from the corner of her eye as one well toned and slightly muscular man raised his hand to signal that he would like to try and defeat her father.

Faith couldn’t help but shake her hand at the thought that anyone could defeat her father, and she caught his glaze as he faced her direction.  The lights barely graced his features, and she smiled at him as he smiled back at her before taking a pull of his beer.  His back was turned towards the gate to the cage, and she only nodded at him to signal that his new opponent had entered behind him.  She knew the rules that anything goes in these fights, and she heard just fine as the guy who asked if there was a challenger inform the guy that he better not hit her father in his nuts.  She couldn’t help the smile that formed on her lips, as the guy said that he thought anything went, and the answer the man gave him was that it was only that her father would take it personal if he did get hit there.  She also knew that there were two things that he took personal if they got hurt or injured, his daughter and his nuts.  She saw him smile at her a bit wider and winked in her direction to acknowledge her nonverbal statement that his opponent had finally entered, and she really hoped the guy headed the warning and kept away from his nuts.

Logan knew what he was doing as he of course let his adamantium laced skeleton follow through his punches, and he never hits hard enough to permanently damage the humans that enter the cage.  Sure he knew that these places are never a good place to have his daughter  in, but with what happened to her he didn’t want to take any chances of having her out of his range of senses.  So he always talked with the bartender prior to doing any fighting in the bar to have his daughter sitting there at the bar near the bartender, if they refuse to allow his daughter inside then the two of them move on to the next town and the next bar.  He really wished that he can provide her with a better life than this, but it was because that the military wanted both of them for their ‘talents’ and ‘gifts’ and for what they put on their bones.  He sat his half empty beer bottle down on the little shelf in front of him, and turned around to face his opponent.  Next thing he knew was that a fist clobbered him upside the head, and he staggered from the impacted briefly.  Then he held up his right arm to block the fist coming from the other side, and used his left hand to send a light punch towards the guy’s gut.  It knocked the wind out of him briefly, but the guy recovered quite quickly.  He could tell that the guy didn’t like that punch, and was going to retaliate.  However the retaliating hit was something he wasn’t prepared for, as the guy’s knee rammed up into his groin.  He lost it and growled his displeasure at the move, and he felt his face contort into a serious look.  He completely shut out everyone outside of the cage, and let his anger take over slightly.  His fist went sailing towards the guy’s face…

Faith watched the fight before her between her father and the guy unfold, knowing without a doubt that her father would be the victor in this fight like always.  Then the guy had to go and knee her father in the balls, and she couldn’t help but wince.  Not because her father got hurt, she knew he would recover really quick but because the guy is gonna get really hurt.  He would feel it for weeks to come, and she was right as her father’s fist connected with the guys’ jawbone.  She heard the sound of the impact, and the guy’s face started to swell on that side as soon as her father’s fist pulled back.  This would of course be the last fight of the night, and the guy swayed slightly before falling like a sack of potatoes to the floor.  She watched as her father picked up his beer and stepped over the unconscious guy, and exited the cage.  He picked up his shirt and light windbreaker, and quickly approached his daughter where she sat at the bar.  He laid down a few bucks, and motioned for another beer as he sat the empty bottle down in front of him.
