Elena smelling blood from far away and recognizing it immediately; it was yours. The two of you had blood shared lots of times, so Elena definitely knew how you blood smelled like even from a distance.
Knowing something was wrong, Elena ran towards the metallic smell hoping you were okay but seeing the crowds of crying people and the flashing lights she knew that wasn't the case.
