Always (Harry Potter Next gen)

chapter 5

The sorting

As we stepped off of the train i heard an old booming voice shouting "first years first years" I looked over and there was a gigantic man he led us down to a bunch of boats and a lake

"no more den four to a boat" the mans name who apperntly is called hagrid said to us

I sat on a boat with scorpious, james and another girl who i dont know the name of. we got to two big wooden doors and hagrid knocked on the door three times and then the door opened

"the first years professer longbottom"hagrid said 

 A man that looked to be in his late twenties we followed him as he explained some stuff that i zoned out of he left the room and then a little bit after he left he came back and brought us into what is called the great hall "look at the roof" people were whispering i looked and there it was i read about it in a few books and its enchanted to look like the sky outside also there were hundreds of candles lit up floating in the air.Then the women at the front called professer mcgonnagel said a few words.

"let the sorting begin" those few words brought both excitement and fear to surface as I was eager to find out which house I would be in but I didn't want to be in slytherin like my mother.

Proffesser longbottom started calling out names (these are random i dunno the real ones)

"anderson demi" "slitherin!"

"longbottom luna amy" "gryffindor!"

 "longbottom nevil anna" "ravenclaw!"

"malfoy scorpious" "sl-wait no gryffindor!"

a few morenames then james name got called a few minutes later and then the hat shouted "gryffindor !"

"riddle Hollie"

I walked towards the stool and sat down, the hat nearly covered my eyes

" hmmmm you are smart but not smart like ravenclaws deffinetly not hufflepuff what about slytherin like your parents hmmm maybe"

"no not slytherin please anything but that"

 "not slytherin eh?" the hat said aloud this time a few whispers stopped because of my name and a few chuckles were heared

 "Hmm GRYFFINDOR!" the hat shouted i went and took a seat next to scorpious and james who hugged me and were clapping like everybody else I couldn't stop the grin which formed on my face and looked up to the professors table to see mcgonnagle with a small smile on her face.

Then everybody went silent because the headmaster wanted to speak

"another year starting at Hogwarts.... i have very few notices before we can eat first of all no students are to enter the forbidden forest its forbidden for a reason this goes to first years and all the other years you two certain people know who you are ...." two ginger people started giggling a boy and a girl they were twins

"filch asks me to remind you no magic to be used in the hallways out of lesson time and if you would like to read some of the other rules there is a list on his office door now let us eat"she said

After the headmistress took her seat shock was clear on my face as food appeared onto the table and i was supprised because i never read about that happening and got a few humoured chuckles as the older students saw our reactions. James started to stuff his face and I gave him a distcusted look. me scorpious and james talked some more but them two get along more and i feel like scorpious doesnt really like me, we made our way up to the gryffindor common room the password is blubber and went up to bed,
