I remember my first day of school like it was yesterday.
I was so devastated to see my mum leave that I chased her through the playground, tripping and grazing my knee in the process. I sobbed on the ground until a gentle hand stroked my hair. A small girl with white hair smiled at me and said,
"It's okay."
After that, the tears stopped. A teacher came to bring me back to my classroom, and I didn't see her again. Every day I searched the playground for the girl with white hair, hoping that she could make me smile again, but she was never there. After a year, my parents divorced and my mum moved me far away. My heart felt heavy, since I would never see the girl again.
That was the first, and last time I ever fell in love.
