This story is for H P Lovecraft.
1922, New York.
The moon's eerie glow surrounded the Mansion.
Midnight was upon me.
It was low.
Very low.
Yet, in sense of dreaming, I saw the bloody light.
And knew something evil resided there...
...Something unspeakable.
***
I stared at the window.
It seemed nothing was going to happen. The madness was entrenched in my mind; the madness drove me into a frenzy; the madness searched for my brain to explore...then rip everything apart. In the end, what was real was now inside the Mansion...not outside.
The increase in madness drove a wedge between Simon, my lover, and others. I, Melissa Ambertside, knocked on the front door.
The infernal chimes scared me silly.
And, for all things of horror, became worse for me...the door opened. A man smiled at me. But it wasn't a welcoming smile; it was a dead smile.
"We've been expecting you M'Lady"...And he bowed...and let me inside...into the gloom.
