Rainy Day
It's the kind of feeling you hide away,
But not to be saved for a rainy day.
Out of sight,
out of mind.
Or so you hope,
Because this pain demands to be felt.
Like a surging ocean wave,
Washing over and pulling you under.
Gasping for air,
Gasping for a break.
A break from all the pain,
All the heartache threatening to drown you.
Because all you really want,
Is for that dull ache to fade.
For the sun to come out from
behind the clouds,
And to have a better day.
It's the kind of feeling you hide away,
But not to be saved for a rainy day.
