Hazel's intentions were fair and unexpected. For the first time, she was on my side. She didn't care about the consequences. She wanted to show Max that it was really over between them. She was serious this time and she wanted him out of her life.
To be honest, Max wasn't really happy with her behavior, he was trying to apologize and bring me down but Hazel was still defending me. She was telling him how it was his fault, that he should've never come in the first place.

I was so mad that I had to punch him straight in the face. I know it was wrong but I couldn't control my jealousy. I wanted him to leave the bedroom. I hated him. He lost my respect when he disrespected my father. He was insensitive about his death. He was taking my father's case as his way out to hurt me. He knew my weaknesses and that's why he didn't mind in the first place.

Hazel was mine and I didn't want to lose my fight. I wanted to be the last one standing next to her. I still wanted her answer. I didn't want to forget what Max did and said to me when we first met. I was not about to lose Hazel. At that point, I didn't care about the consequences. I wanted to show Hazel that I was also a real man. I was there to protect her and show her that she was important in my life.

"It's late." Hazel interrupted with strong emotions. "Max, I think you should probably leave. It's over between us and there's nothing you can do anymore. I still care about you but I don't have feelings for you anymore. So please." She paused as she opened the bedroom door for him. "Leave."

Max begged for mercy. Right in front of my face. He really didn't care about my feelings, he didn't care that Hazel was mine, he didn't respect me and didn't see me as a man. He was the man in his opinion and thought that he could just make me disappear in Hazel's life.

Money doesn't make you a man, Max.

The thing that was pissing me off the most was the fact that he was trying to buy Hazel's love by offering her money when he knew well that her father didn't have that problem. I thought Max was a great man and a gentleman but he wasn't. I started to wonder that he only dated Hazel to show her how ambitious and rich he was. He wanted to impress her family by showing them the fake side of him. That was the truth about him. He was nothing but a douchebag.

Hazel did deserve someone better, a real gentleman to take her physically, mentally and emotionally.

Me.

"Hawk, you too," Hazel ordered as soon as Max closed the door behind him."I want to be alone." Her tone begged for me to leave.

"Thank you, Hazel." I thanked her as I worshipped her body with a desperate hug. "I didn't expect you to be on my side," I explained. "I know, It wasn't easy and I really do appreciate everything."

"I want to sleep, Hawk." Her lazy voice dragged her own bed in her mind. "Don't forget to close the door behind you." She jumped on her bed as she rested her head on her white comfortable pillow. "Goodnight."

"What about my answer?" She sighed. "Do you want to be mine?" I reminded her.

"Not right now, Hawk." She declined. "I'm tired and I'll give you my answer tomorrow morning. I just want to rest my mind right now. There are a lot of things going on, I want to change the situation."

"Hazel?" I began."In case, your answer is no tomorrow. I want to tell you that I truly like you and I want us to stop arguing with each other. I want us to be cool. I know I said a lot of bad things to you and I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. I just want you to forgive me." I spoke the truth.

"I forgive you, Hawk." She stated, nicely. "You're not perfect. I'm not perfect. Nobody is."

"I'm glad to hear those words from you, Hazel," I paused."Thank you. I promise I'll try my best not to hurt you again. You have my word." I promised.
