On this day

eleven years ago

A plane crashed into twins

It took their hearts and broke them in two

Taking away our country's soul

Although this day is one of mourning

We rember the men and women

Who ran into the towers

And gave their lives for you and me

A/N This is a poem to remember 9/11 2001 and I am thankful for all the firefighters and police men and paramedics who gave their lives for others that day.
