"I- that's a long story I guess" i said and sighed" but i live in a house don't worry about me mom"

I hurd foot steps coming up the stairs
"Mom I have to go now, I'll call you later"
"Okay honey, we'll talk later bye"
"Bye mom" I said and hung up as the door opened
"Who were you talking to" Jack said
"Don't you know how to knock " I asked getting up
"No need to get mad princess, i just wanted to check on my daughter"
"I told you and I'm telling you again" I said getting in front of him " she's not your daughter, she's GRAYSON'S DAUGHTER !" I yelled and all of a sudden I felt pain on my left cheek
He slapped me
I placed my hand on my cheek
"NEVER EVER GIVE ME AN ATTITUDE OR YOU'LLGET PUNISHED I WARNED YOU ONECE THIS IS YOUR SECOND TIME BUT THERE IS NO THIRD CHANCE DO YOU UNDERSTAND!" He said
I looked up at him "get out !"
He looked at me and got out
I felt like melting down
But I had to stand straight
