Requiem for a fallen Angel

You fell from the demon skies

Like a fiery meteor

In darkest night

I saw your gun metal blue eyes

Die on me

Turning pitch black red

Dead to the world

I felt the wind

Softly take you away

Your blood stained wings

Falling to pieces

A golden tear forms

On your cheek

It speaks of your life

And your great deeds

Broken Seraphim

You were the guardian of hope

You rested your hand on our shoulders

When our heads were bowed

You watched over us

When our faith was dim

And we lost heart

Hold the Michael sword

In your fair hand

One last time

I pray thee

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine

Rest your head now

Softly in my lap

Brave soul

You’re going
