A/N: This is just something that popped into my head the other day. I decided to publish it to see how people would react to it. Please let me know your honest feelings about it. This is just everything as it came to me. I will keep the story going, but it takes me a while to put it all together, so please be patient. Thank you. :)

                                                                          Chapter 1

‘“What do you want from me?” I yelled over my shoulder. I couldn’t turn around. He would make me forget everything.

“Kiara, get back here NOW!” he bellowed in my mind.

“Never!” I lied to myself. “I want nothing to do with you!” The next thing I knew, I was being pinned to the ground. I struggled to get up, but I knew he would never let me go.

“Don’t ever lie or run from me again” I knew I would never be able to refuse his order. I felt my body betraying me, starting to relax in his hold. He looked me straight in the eyes. “Face it. You can’t refuse me . . . Mate”

Then the darkness took over.

                                                                      24 hours earlier

It was finally time. I was eighteen and graduating, and tonight our pack’s Alpha would perform the ceremony allowing me to shift for the first time. It’s the moment I’ve been waiting for my whole life.

“Kiara, if you’re not down here in five minutes, we’re leaving without you. You don’t really want to be late for your own graduation, do you?”

“Coming, Mom!” I threw on some lip gloss, grabbed my cap and gown and dashed down the stairs. “’Kay, I’m ready!” I looked around and saw that none of them moved. “What’s going on? I though you said we were leaving”

“I did. That was just to get you down here earlier than if I’d left you on your own. Now, hurry up. Your breakfast is getting cold.” Mom turned back to the newspaper. Aiden, my loser of a little brother, snickered at me. I gave him a cold glare that immediately shut him up. Grinning, I took my place at the table. The food looked and smelled delicious, but I just couldn’t get myself to eat anything. It was too exciting and nerve-wracking thinking of all the things that would happen today.

Ten minutes later, all my food still sat on my plate. Finally, it was time to go.  I jumped up and practically ran over my dad.

“Whoa, squirt! Be careful. You’re not the only one that has to look good today.” He was right too. I was eighteen and hadn’t found my mate, ergo, I wasn’t able to shift. Being eighteen and not being able to shift was dangerous in a pack as powerful as ours. So, my father, being the Beta to the Alpha,  he had to make sure that everything went according to plan. Since I was his daughter, he was even more paranoid than usual. We got to the door when all of a sudden it was thrown open. The Alpha himself was standing in our doorway.

“Jason, we have a problem. It happened.” I didn’t know what that meant. I looked to my dad, hoping he would have an explanation, but he just stood there. He was pale white. The next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car and we drove off . . . in the opposite direction of the school. So much for walking with the rest of my class.
