Aviva x Zach : Part 8

"Aviva... I love you..." Zach said, ending with a look of hopelessness. He looked down and kicked the soft ground.

Aviva's look soften as she put her hand down. "And you expect to believe this trick of yours?" she asked. "Do you think I'm too stupid to realise that?"

Zach banged the tree trunks beside him. "I knew it!" he screamed as he banged harder, faster, before tears leaked from the corner of his midnight black eyes.

Aviva just stared the man, her rival. It just didn't make sense to her. They were rivals and enemies since young! Why the sudden affection?

Her heart raced. She couldn't understand the feeling she had, like butterflies in her stomach. Was it guilt? Maybe pity?

Or, love?

Whatever it was, she went to his side and pat his back with one hand, and supporting him with the other. "Zach..." she said.

He hugged her warm arm, it gave him comfort somehow. He Zachbots said it was love. Was it? "Aviva..." he trailed off, looking up at the brunette. "Do you b-believe me?"

"I..." Aviva had no answer. She was stuck in her own thoughts. There was no way this could be happening!!
