I missed her.

Her laughter, her anger her...everything. I missed her.

My hand clenched around the phone in my pocket.

One call couldn't hurt anyone.

I knew that she loved Cassie as her own sister.

I knew very well that she would never have killed my sister. She wasn't capable of killing.

She was drunk. She had been driving drunk.  Right into a truck that had instantly killed Cassie.

She hadn't killed Cassie though.

I had blamed her for so long. Just because I needed a reason to blame someone for my sisters death.

I hadn't talked to her nor looked at her. The girl I had been in love with for years. The girl I had been secretly pining after for all these years.

And now I had pushed her away

Chasity's words rang through my head every damn time, my eyes found her.

She ran away after the accident.

Why? If she was drunk and got hit, why did she run away?

Her father had gotten her out of the case. Dismissed the whole thing.

She ran away.

Don't judge someone wrongly!

Ask her!

I needed answers. She couldn't have wished to get away. Cassie was her best friend.

Most of all Briar didn't drink, ususally. Why did she drink that day?

I was so confused.

At the same time something felt terribly wrong.

I had been too consumed with Cassies death to think clearly.
