"Welcome home"I greeted a tired looking Numan the moment he walked into the living room where I was chatting with my friends on WhatsApp

"Hello,babes.i missed you today"he said and I happily went into his opened arms

"I missed you more,the house was quiet as usual"i whined softly and he chuckled

"We can make it less quiet actually"he said and I pulled out looking up curiously at him

"Really?share"I said smiling

He smiled mischievously and he swept me off my feet and into his arms

"Numan! Don't do this"I cried hitting his chest softly

He laughed as he carried me up to our room then he laid me on the bed gently
And burst into laughs

"Why are you so childish?"I asked angrily

"Only you gets to see this side so be grateful"he replied smirking

And I burst into laughs too before I took his hands in mine
Well I couldn't they are too large so he did the holding instead

"Numan,thank you so much for keeping those gifts with you"I said softly

"Your brothers and Ammamih's gift was with them they had to deliver it yesterday"he explained his thumb softly stroking the back of my palm

"I collected Mama's own and mine yesterday too"he added trying to avoid eye contact with him

"I loved Ammamih's journal,I told her I was going to buy it some day and I didn't know she already bought later
And Mama's golden bracelet that has my name engraved on it
And my brothers actually compiled Ammamih's delicious recipes into a book for me,just for me
And your little yet beautiful customized pens

The pen had "doctors wife" engraved on it"I said smiling convincing my heart is not time to break down

"We are blessed too sweetheart"he said placing his left palm on my cheek lovingly

"I will change into something more comfortable"he spoke after few seconds eye contact and silence

"While I set the table,see you soon "I said then I got up

"Okay babes"he said getting up

Some minutes later Numan came out in his ash thobe
I smiled admiring him

He sits on the chair next to where I was sitting and I served him his food

And we ate quietly feeding each other

"So I met a familiar face today"I said the moment I started washing the plates

"Really how familiar?"he asked collecting the plates to rinse

And I joined making it sound like a happy song

After we finished washing plates,we went back to the room after switching off the lights and television

"How was your first day in university?"he asked the moment we laid on our sides

"It was cool just like any other high school day because I have my favorite girls with me"I said smiling

He smiled and I placed my head on his chest while he stroke my hair gently
Till I slept off hearing the beat of his heart
