chap5:~duty calls

I hate how both your absence and presence affect me

It's been one week since we got married
The only time we get visitors is when my mother in law sends food

But we have been making calls here and there with everyone

Never thought being married could be like this,Numan has been my support anytime I break down
And i know so many more things about him than before
I know how he could be very moody in the morning
But cheerful at night
How he prefers orange to mango
How he skips breakfast and prefers brunch
How he looks very handsome when his smile reaches his eyes making them more tinier
And alot of things beyond words and emojis or even when he visits
He is more comfortable and mischievous
Now I love him more and more everyday

"What are you thinking of?babies?me too"he teased placing his head on my lap pushing the book aside

I laughed breaking out of my thoughts and I closed the book

"Massage my head Please,and read the book you are reading to me"he said softly and I smiled gently massaging his head

"Hmm,have you finished going through the hospital cases?"i asked looking at him

"Yes"he replied smiling

"You were thinking again?"he asked and I looked away

"Thinking is not good for You,you are too young"he added placing his palm on my cheek softly

"You are talking like an oldie"i teased and he sat up immediately making my eyes widened

"You just call me an oldie?"he asked with a raised brow

"Maybe!"i replied trying not to laugh

He started tickling me suddenly

"Numan!....sss.top"i said between my laugh

"No,I'm not oldie"he insisted

"Oh sorry...You ..are...not"i admitted so he could stop

He stopped smiling mishevuoysy

"I like it better when you laugh so hard you cry...I love You,don't forget"

"I love you too"

He pulled me to his chest and I hugged him tighter

I smiled melting in his arms suddenly his phone rang

"Should I let go and pick?"he whispered

"Yes....it might be important"i replied

And i pulled out of the hug while he picked immediately

After some minutes of discussion here and there
He said "okay,I will be on my way"
Then he hung up

"There is a complicated case at the hospital,the doctor in charge isn't picking up his phone so,I have to go.duty calls"he replied raising his phone

I silently watched as he walked away after pecking my forehead
