My Dearest

Can you hear the song my heart does sing?

Cheerless cry's of guitar string,

A slow pluck of sad symphony,

It's to you my dearest,

To you from me.

This song I sing as bird of a feather,

Or ill mountain stream,

Flowing down in a tether,

To me, my dearest

You're all that's kind and good,

You've made me feel as none others could.

For you safety, my soul, it fears

With a wounded heart

And eyes of tears,

For you my world does shake and sway,

For you I do my true thoughts say.

So hear me now

This time, this day,

Oh please my dearest,

Don't go away.

I wish to see you dearest,

And give you my heart,

To tell you these feelings,

And pray we never part.

I come to you now, on hands and knees,

With humblest of hearts,

And solemn plea's,

Grovelling, begging, be what it may,

But I beg you my dearest,

Don't go away.

So I say to you

This time, this day,

That perhaps your soul shall cease to sway.

To give you peace is all I try,

So please my dearest,

Do not cry.

Don't let the anguish take its edge

Or push you further to resolves ledge,

Or take from you what is thine,

Or harm your heart, or shake you mind.

For you id move the mountain you stand before,

I'd give my all, and ten fold more.

For you your nightmares I shall take,

And of your grief, comfort shall make.

Though I am imperfect,

Though I have flaws,

Tell me dearest,

And my life shall be yours.
