We all saw it coming,

We saw it in your face,

Your life was fading,

But it was something you could not outrace.

We all had hope,

But the war was too long,

We all thought you would get threw it,

But no one could ever be that strong.

It seemed like the battle might just past,

Even if it left you weak and strained,

But we where all mistaken,

You were just too drained.

Then the day came,

When we knew you wouldn't live,

we couldn't do anything.

There was nothing we could give.

We rushed to where you where.

We had to say goodbye.

But life's not like the movies.

We couldn't get there on time.

We where to late to save you.

Even thought we couldn't.

Are hearts lost a part that day.

A part you really shouldn't.

We would have saved you,

But even when the mighty win.

It is no use,

If there is sickness within.

Where you are now,

You are in forever sleep.

Battle lost,

Are broken bits buried with you deep,

And above it all.

The thought that makes me cry.

We never got there in time,

To say goodbye.
