N I G H T M A R E S

Sitting here.

Feeling nothing but fear.

My pulse pounding like a drum.

I said I wasn't scared,

but I guess I was wrong.

When I started I hadn't cared.

But now I am scared.

Yes I am scared.

I feel a cold hand on my shoulder,

I whip around in a flash.

Did I catch a bit of cold air?

There are rips in the window sash.

I feel a hot breath on my neck,

I scream, my pulse is thudding.

But there's nothing there,

Then I hear the sound of ripping.

My hearts a fire of fear.

When I started I hadn't cared,

But now I am scared,

Yes I am scared.
