Clover's POV:

Winter turned into spring, Oliver ended up getting a promotion at work. I got a raise on my paycheck as well. Things were looking up, but we couldn't really celebrate our triumphs. We had a much more serious thing to worry about... the fate of the world was literally in our hands. As I walked in the apartment from a long day at work, I found Will and Max sitting in the living room. There was a map of a large building laying across the coffee table. Both of them were talking in serious tones, and I figured they were refining the plan they had organized together. Obviously, Oliver and I had our say in the plan as well. But they were the smarter two out of the four of us. Deep down I wasn't sure if our plan would work, but it was worth a shot. What else did we have to lose? We couldn't just sit back and let Evelyn take over the world with clones. "Clover, hey. How was work sweetheart?" Will asked me curiously once he noticed I was home. He walked into the kitchen and wrapped his strong arms around me. I wrapped my arms around him and snuggled into his chest to breath in his comforting scent. "Work was good. How was you and Max's day?" I replied as I listened to his heart beating in his chest. "Busy." Will replied. "Very busy, but... I think we've finally cracked the thing." Max replied as he stood up and stretched. After Will and I broke the hug I went into the bedroom to change into some more comfy clothes. Then I joined the two of them on the couch. They relayed the plan to me, and it sounded pretty solid considering what we had to deal with. "Some of us might not make it back, and that's what scares the hell out of me." Max said in his British accent. Anxiety burned my insides, and I guess Will could sense that I was feeling nervous. He wrapped an arm around me and moved closer to me. I pressed my body against his and hoped beyond hope that I didn't lose him. Losing him has been my fear ever since I met him. If we went into this thing and he got killed I wouldn't be able to handle it. "It's alright, Clover. I'll make sure everyone's safe; I won't let anything happen to you." Will said as he wrapped both of his arms around me and kissed my temple. "Yeah, but what about you? I can't lose you. You mean everything to me. I love you." I said, feeling tears well up in my eyes. "Hey, don't cry," He said softly as he placed one of his large hands on the side of my face. He gently stroked my cheek with his thumb as I stared in his beautiful big brown eyes. "I'm not going anywhere if I can help it. I'll always be with you.... always." He said softly before he closed the distance between us and kissed me. His lips felt softer than ever, and I just melted. After we broke the kiss the three of us went into the kitchen and started cooking dinner. When Oliver came home from work we ate and talked about what we needed to do. I had to call my brother, Alex and have him come over tomorrow. It was wearing down to the very last few days before we had to put our lives in danger. Will knew I was still feeling nervous, sad, and worried. He kept being sweet and kind to me all through dinner, which was sweet. Oliver and Max were also trying to make everyone laugh. All of us knew not all of us were going to make it once we put our plan in action. Every time I thought of those pictures Alex took a shiver ran up my spine. 'Who the hell knows what Evelyn is capable of. Maybe she has grown to strong already and we won't be able to defeat her.' I thought inside of my head. My mind was plagued by the worse thoughts and scenarios possible. We gathered in the living room to watch some tv before we decided to go to bed. As Will and I got ready he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. To my surprise he left soft kisses on my shoulder and neck, making me giggle slightly. "Will, what are you doing?" I asked, giggling as I did. "Trying to make you relax. I wanna make all of your worries melt away." He replied softly as he tightened his arms around me. "You're so sweet." I said as I slowly turned around to face him. I wrapped my arms around him and snuggled into his chest. His comforting scent made me feel better as I listened to his beating heart. "You know I'm not gonna feel any better until all of this mess is dealt with." I said, breaking the silence. "I know... and I know that you're terrified about what's gonna happen. You're scared that all of us aren't going to make it out of there once we go in. But it's my job to make you feel better when you're feeling down." He replied, and I broke the hug slightly. He slowly closed the distance between us and captured my lips with his. When we kissed my entire body felt alive, more alive that had in a long time. I gently kissed him back and wished it wouldn't end. It was like some kind of energy was flowing through both of our bodies. I sort of figured he could feel it too, because he gently deepened the kiss. When we broke the kiss we were slightly gasping for breath, but we didn't take long to connect our lips once again. The two of us moved to the bed and snuggled underneath the covers with each other. He leaned over me and we started kissing again. Neither one of us seemed like we could get enough of each other. It was the first time I had ever felt like that with someone, especially since my ex was very forceful and mean. I knew what was gonna happen next between Will and I, but for once in my life I wasn't afraid. I was finally ready to give myself to him. He was finally ready to give himself to me as well. The next morning I woke up with the soft covers bunched up and wrapped around me. A pair of arms were touching the bare skin on my waist, and I felt my insides melt. My cheeks burned from blushing as the memories of what Will and I did last night came flooding back to me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Will laying next to me, looking at me. His beautiful big brown eyes were full of love and warmth. I snuggled closer to him and he tightened his arms around me. "Good morning sweetheart. How did you sleep?" He said as he gave my forehead a gentle kiss. "I slept wonderful. How did you sleep?" I replied. I'm sure I was still blushing. His cheeks were a little pink from blushing as well. "I slept great.... thanks to you." He said before he devoured my neck with soft kisses. I couldn't help but giggle and snuggle closer to him as he did so. When he stopped I kissed his bare chest a couple of times. We laid there and cuddled with each other before we decided to get up. The two of us went into the bathroom and shared a sweet shower together. Once we were finished we dried off and got dressed. I put of pair of sweatpants and one of Will's plain black t-shirts. Then we walked out into the living room where we found Max and Oliver sitting on the couch. "Morning love birds." Max said and I felt myself blush. Will laughed slightly as he ran a hand through his hair. "Morning to you too." He said with a smile before we sat grouped in the kitchen. Oliver offered to cook breakfast and I offered to help, but he insisted that he could handle it himself. I took a seat at the table next to Will and we held hands underneath the table. "I called your brother and he said he'd be over in a few minutes. We need to tell him the plan and get started as soon as possible." Max said, looking at me. I took a deep breath and Will gently squeezed my hand for comfort. This whole thing mad me scared as hell, and I'm sure everyone else was afraid as well. But I tried pressing my thoughts to the back of my mind the best I could until my brother showed up. Breakfast was almost ready when there was a knock on the apartment door. "I'll get it." I said before getting up. Before Alex even walked in he gave me a big tight hug, and I hugged him back. He gave every one a hug before sitting down at the table himself. We filled our plates and ate as we made some small talk. I knew we'd get into the meat of everything once we finished stuffing our faces. After we ate Max and Will told Alex the plan they had drawn up, and we ended up drinking several pots of coffee in the process. We were all sort of stress drinking, and Oliver kept brewing pots of coffee. "What are the first steps we need to take?" Alex asked Max curiously after he was told everything. "We need to make a virus to inject her with so it flows out of her I to her clones. But as a backup plan we need guns and ammo... lots of it." Max replied. "I think I know where I get a good bit of guns and ammunition." Alex replied. "Good. Will and I are going to start making the virus; I know what we need to make a powerful and effective poison to kill her and her clones." Max replied as he ran a hand through his hair. Everything suddenly felt way too real and serious all of the sudden, and I wasn't entirely sure if I could handle it. I guess Will noticed because he gave my hand a gentle squeeze again. I looked over at him and gave him a grateful half smile. Without I really didn't know what I'd do. He became my everything, and if I end up losing him I'd probably end up falling apart. Alex stepped out outside and started making some calls. Max and Will started gathering all of their science equipment while I helped Oliver clean up the kitchen. The only sound was of Will and Max talking to each other about what they needed and whatnot. But the kitchen was oddly quiet. It was like the conversation I was overhearing was muffled and distant. "This is a lot to deal with... isn't it?" Oliver asked me curiously, breaking the heavy silence. "Yeah." I replied with a slight laugh. "I know you're scared about losing Will.... about losing any one of us, but we have to this. We have to destroy Evelyn before she takes over the world. If one of us gets killed it will be for the greater good." He said, which made the anxiety filled balloon in the stomach deflate slightly. Oliver was right, but I didn't wanna lose my friends... my boyfriend, and my brother. "I know.... I know." I replied. He opened his arms and wrapped them around me in a tight hug, and I hugged him back. "If anything happens to Will I promise that I'll help you get through life without him. I know how much he means to you, Clover." He said softly in my ear, and I felt unbelievably grateful to have him as my best friend. "Thank you, Oliver. You're truly the greatest friend I've ever had." I replied as I held him a little tighter. "You're the greatest friend I've ever had too." He replied. I knew that if anything happens to someone, whoever remained would help one another recover from the grief and pain. We broke the hug and we each grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. "Alright, I got what we need. It might be a little overkill, but that's exactly what we'll need." Alex said after he came back inside. "Good. Max and I have everything we need, we just have to load everything into a car." Will said. "Clover, do you think you can get into your uncle's old office at the college? We really need a laboratory to do our work." Max said, and I said I could try. Half of the college knew my uncle, so it probably wouldn't be hard to play the sympathy card to get into a lab. Alex helped Max and Will load up Oliver's car because it was the biggest one we had. Then the rest of us started getting ready to leave the apartment. I packed my backpack with some stuff to keep myself busy while Oliver changed out of his pajamas. When I was finished I met everyone in the living room. The best plan was to decide and conquer. I was supposed to go with Will and Max to the college to see if we could get into a lab. Oliver and Alex were going to pick up the weapons Alex had ordered for us. I wasn't really sure where he got the guns or where he was getting them, but I was happy he could get his hands on some. Especially since I had a feeling that Evelyn wasn't going down without one hell of a fight. Oliver gave me his car keys before he left with my brother. "Is everyone buckled in?" I asked as I buckled myself up. "Yeah." Max said from the back seat. "Yep." Will replied from the passenger seat. I put the keys in the ignition and switched on the engine. After letting it warm up a bit I pulled out onto the street and headed to we the college. I few minutes of silence passed between the three of us. Instead of having a totally silent car ride I decided to turn on the radio, and Gasoline by Halsey came through the speakers. I never was a huge Halsey fan, but I did like that song by her. I listened to the music and tried to forget all of the stress and anxiety that was weighing down on me. When we reached the college I parked my car. I helped Will and Max carry their boxes of books and papers through the front doors and into the science wing of the building. We reached a little lounge area that had three round wooden tables. Each one with four black comfortable chairs. They sat their stuff on one of the tables to give their arms a rest. "Just wait here. I'll see if I can get one of the professors or staff members to get me into one of the labs." I said as I reached into the backpack I had brought with me and put on my work ID, which looked a lot like a student ID. 'Let's hope this works.' I said inside of my head. I left my boyfriend and my friend behind as I walked around to find someone in an office or classroom. Eventually I spotted a man who looked as if he was in his mid twenties. The hair on his head was bleach blond and he was wearing a white button up shirt with an emerald green tie. The pants he was wearing were black, and they matched the dress shoes he was wearing. "Excuse me..." I said trailing off as I knocked on the open classroom door. He looked up at me with hazel eyes. "Can I help you?" He asked me curiously as he stopped typing on his computer. "Yes, I was wondering if I could use one of the science labs. I have some late class work to complete and my professor isn't in today." I said and he his barely visible brows furrowed. "Why didn't you come on a day when your professor was in?" He asked me curiously as he walked towards me. "I wanted to, but this is the only time I have to complete it." I replied. He looked at me for a while as if he was trying to decide if I was telling the truth. "Okay, but make sure you clean everything up before you leave." He said as he grabbed a set of keys off of his desk. "I will." I said. If he wasn't standing in front of me I would have done a little happy dance, but I decided to just celebrate inside my head instead. He shut his classroom door as he walked out into the hall with be. I followed him to a lab that was a good distance away from the classroom, which made me relax a little. I really didn't need him to see me letting two other people into the lab with me. "Just step into my classroom before you leave. Otherwise I'll assume you're still in there." He said after he unlocked the lab door for me. "Okay. Thank you so much for letting me do this." I said, and he gave me a slight nod. He left and I waited a few minutes before I messaged Will and told him with room I was in. A little while later him and Max came into the room with their books and papers. "Alright, let's get started." Max said after he sat everything down on one of the black tables. I took a seat in one of the corners and watched them get everything set up. I really didn't wanna be in their way. Will rolled up his sleeves and Max did the same as they plugged in several microscopes and a bunsen burner. Max adjusted the stations as Will grabbed test tubes, beakers, petri dishes, etc, etc. It honestly felt like I was watching some kind of detective show or something to be honest. Getting to watch them work was something I've never witnessed before, and they looked as if they were totally in their element. I've always loved science class, but there's no way I could do what they could. Both of them were certified doctors after all. As I sat there my phone buzzed in my pocket and I wondered who it was.
