(Harry’s POV)

“We wanted to thank you for the donation you have given to this Orphanage. You really are making a change for all these children and we invited you to come and see it for yourselves,” Mrs. Lawrence, the owner of the charity program, spoke genuinely to us.

About two weeks ago, we were invited to give a free concert for charity. We were thrilled. Of course we wanted to be part of it! A lot of artists joined and we were able to raise a whole lot of money.  It went to kids that need someone where to stay. It was very fun and nice thing to be part of. And so here we were.

“Okay, let’s do this!” Liam chirped and a grin grew upon our faces.

The lady opened the heavy door and revealed a large number of children. Some ran, some played and some laughed. Watching a smile spread on these children’s faces and knowing we caused it gave me the greatest sensation spread across my body and I couldn’t help but break out a smile as well.

The room was cheerful with vivid colors splashed against the walls. It reminded me of a daycare.  We walked around looking at those happy faces, when I spotted a girl about 5 years old crying. Her hair was pulled back in a well done ponytail and she had a hand in her face, trying to cover her puffy face. The other hand was stretched out on her pink dress. I walked up to her and kneeled down to be face to face.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her.

“I can’t grab my bunny!” The little girl said through sobs as she pointed to an old stuffed animal on the top shelf.

I got up and grabbed it. It was old and dirty, so I dusted it off.

The little girl gasped, “Don’t hurt it!”

I tried hard not to smile. She was too cute. I bent down, and lifted her chin up so she could meet my eyes and I spoke, “If I give the bunny to you, will you promise me something?”

She rubbed her eyes and nodded.

“Will you promise that you will stop crying?” I asked.

“I promise.” She said, happily.

I grinned and gave her the stuffed animal. She was too adorable to handle.

“Thank you, sir!” she hugged her bunny, “I like your hair!”

Before I could say anything, she ran away giggling. “I get that a lot,” I chuckled.

Mrs. Lawrence continued on giving us a tour of the place. I would get mood swings. First I felt happy for being able to help all these kids, but as I heard some of their stories I became sad unable to imagine such terrible things happen to innocent souls. The sadness then turned into anger. How can some people leave their children to suffer? How could they possibly abandon what is theirs? But as I dug deeper I knew I shouldn’t feel angry. After all, I’m in no place to judge. I don’t know what caused them to end up here, but maybe they were meant to so they could soon enough be part of a family that can give them what they need most… love.
