Refrain Poem:

The word 'Refrain' derives from the Old French word refrain meaning to repeat. Refrain Poetry Term is a phrase, line, or group of lines that is repeated throughout a poem, usually after each stanza. A famous example of a refrain are the words " Nothing More" and “Nevermore” which are repeated in “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe.

I'm Soloman, I don't know why my parents named me after a Disney character.

I'm Alina, forever alone as my name suggest in french.

I get up at 11, because I work at my dad's company hotel.

I get up before sunrise, because I have to work

I drive my Ferrari to work, greeted by the doorman

I walk to work, greeted by a stack of files.

I bought a cup of Starbucks, and there's a cute girl sitting there

I got treated at starbucks by my friend, and there's a hot guy in front of me..

I winked my eye at the girl and waved goodbye.

I smiled and nodded at him

I go back to the office to prepare for tonight's party.

I walk back, to continue my unfinished work.

I don't seem to be able to get her off my mind.

I can't get him off my mind.

I was talking to my friends when i saw her.

I caught him stealing glances at me when i was preparing for the party.

I will talk to her later as i gestured her to the garden.

I nodded in response to his gesture.

I think she's the perfect girl for me.

I don't know why he wants to talk to me.

I stared into her beautiful face, not knowing what to say.

I stared into his endless blue eyes, getting lost in them.

I'm going to confess my feelings, what will she say?

I look at him blankly, what is he going to say?

I finally told her, will she like me?

I was taken aback, should i tell him?

I can see a hint of hesitation in her hazel eyes.

I decided to tell him.

I was surprised that we had mutual feelings.

I was happy, but what will happen if he knew i am poor.

I could tell that something is bothering her.

I told him the truth.

I don't care if she is poor or rich.

I'm so elated that he accepts me for who i am.

I found my Cinderella.

I found my Prince Charming.

About the pom:

Inspired by the poem'Two Young Women', the same style was used to create a poem on a rich guy an d a poor girl. The stereotypical couple of a rich girl and a poor guy's role was swapped to create different expressions and characters.
