CHAPTER ONE- Stacie's POV;

"Please!? It will be so much fun!" My best friend, Tyler, pleaded me. He wants me to go the beach with a few of his friends this weekend. It would be fun, we haven't gone to the beach since last summer. I could bring a few friends, of course. He's already asked my parents about it and they are totally fine with it. Why wouldn't they be? We are basically family. Our parents are usually away at work or on business trips, and just leave us at home in Florida. We never have time for family vacations, unless we get really lucky, like really really lucky. My parents are business owners, whereas Tyler's are working in the medical field.

"I know but I have an exam on Monday," I said knowing he wouldn't take that as an excuse. He was always the 'bad boy' type in school. But I've known Tyler ever since I could remember, he's super gentle and sweet on the inside, he just doesn't show it because it will ruin his so-called-look. We live right next to each other, moreover our parents are very close, like family. We both don't have any siblings so we hang out at each others houses a lot. We've grown really fond of each other, becoming fast friends then eventually best friends.

"Oh come on, Stacie!" Tyler groaned. I kind of cringed at the sound of my name; I just don't like the name Stacie. It seems like an old lady name or something, no offense.

"It's not like your gonna completely fail your exam, you're a fucking straight A student," Tyler complained. He was right, I am a straight A student. I'm not like a smart arse or anything but I just naturally get straight A's. I'm that girl who is a goodie two shoes, answering every question correctly. It's weird, I know, I don't even try. I wouldn't say I'm popular in school but I have a decent amount of friends. Most of the girls give me death glares since I'm best friends with the local hottie, Tyler Morgan.

"Okay fine, but I get to bring Ellie and Megan!" I finally gave in knowing I wouldn't win. I never win anything against him. He always finds a way around everything, he just knows me a little too well.

"That's fine with me, the more girls the more fun, eh?" He winked at me laughing. I rolled my eyes and ignored his comment. He's so immature. I looked at my watch; it read 8:15 pm. I still have to phone Megan and Ellie about the plans, pack for this weekend, plus shower.

"Alright Tyler, you should head home. I'll catch you tomorrow at 11:00am, yeah?" I asked him double checking our schedule. He will be picking me up tomorrow to head to the beach, which is only a 15 minute drive since we live along the coast of Florida. We are expecting to meet our friends there around 11:30am.

"Yeah, see you. Bye Stacie!" He confirmed walking out of the front door. I didn't bother walking him, anyways he's just next door. I ran upstairs to my room, grabbed my PJ's from my bed, and into the bathroom. As I began running the hot water I checked my reflection in the mirror. My brown hair that curls towards the bottom is now tangled, and the mascara around my amber eyes smeared. I hopped into the bath tub and quickly showered. I changed into my PJ's and looked in the mirror. I brushed out my wet hair, removed my remaining mascara, then flopped onto my bed. I glanced at my light pink Baby G watch that my dad had bought me for my 16th birthday. 8:45pm. Perfect. I grabbed my cell from my table desk beside my bed. I scrolled through until I found Ellie and Megan, told them about our plans for the beach this weekend. They both agreed happily, and blabbed on about how hot Tyler was. I mean he isn't bad looking, I just don't think of him in that way. By the time I got off the phone it was almost 11:00pm. My friends had always been jealous of Tyler and I's relationship, just like the other girls. He's the hottest guy at our college, who could blame them. He was a year older than me, so he's 19. He has side swept wavy brown hair, and hazel eyes with gold specks. I pulled my covers up, set my alarm for 10:15am, leaving me about an hour to get ready. Within a few minutes my eyelids started to droop and I slowly dozed off into sleep.
