Imagine #64: Guardians

Both Yun Lan and Shen Wei think of their relationship as more than love. Although both the professor and the chief have different definitions when it comes to the word guarding, they both agree that their relationship is a form of guarding. 

To Yun Lan, their relationship is a relationship where they guard each other. *A relationship that is greater than familial love itself and even more passionate than any love he had ever experienced from his past relationships. 

*To Shen Wei, guarding means to guard a promise that can remain unchanged for thousands of years. Even if Shen Wei has to sacrifice himself to fulfill that promise, the thought of giving up on the act of guarding Yun Lan will never cross Shen Wei's mind even in a million years. 

[Note: Yun Lan and Shen Wei said this in the drama version of Guardian. More like they told Xiao Guo and Xiao Guo was writing it down in his diary.]

Imagine #65: Depths of Our Souls

Even after being alive for so long, human beings to Da Qing, is an unsolvable puzzle. For one, Da Qing cannot understand discrimination. Da Qing finds it weird that human beings discriminate one another when all of them are clearly from the same race. He once read somewhere that it is natural human instinct for human beings to be afraid of things which are different from them. This instinct is crucial for the survival of human beings as things that are different from them might pose dangers to them. But that is the primitive mindset that should have been overcome and long forgotten in this advanced technological age. Has human beings evolved so much but not at all in a sense? 

Da Qing pretends to be ignorant but he is fully aware that not everyone agrees with the kind of relationship that his Papa Zhao and Mama Shen are in due to their genders. Why do genders matter? After all, when they pass away, wouldn't they just be genderless forms of energies? 

Da Qing finds these people absurd as they are sometimes so blinded that they cannot see nor understand that what his Papa Zhao and Mama Shen share is more than just the normal lusty and sexual relationships. Those two are able to see and understand each other for what they really are. In short, Zhao Yun Lan and Shen Wei are able to see into the depths of each other's souls – the good, the bad, and the ugly. And you know what's more fascinating? What's fascinating is that they are still deeply in love with each other even after witnessing all that.

Imagine #66: Shen Wei?!

Yun Lan once brought a box of chocolates back to the SID and told his staff to dig in. He said the box of chocolates was from one of the officers he met during the meeting that day. He took a few of the chocolates and stuffed them into Shen Wei's hand before popping a handful into his own mouth. Shen Wei nibbled on his chocolates and after that, everyone in the SID went back to their own work. Shen Wei felt a little unwell not long after that and Yun Lan quickly took Shen Wei home. Shen Wei was quiet in the car in their entire journey home. Once they reached home, the panicky Yun Lan urged Shen Wei to take a hot shower and get some rest afterwards. 

Shen Wei came out of the shower looking slightly better with the colour on his face returning to its usual shade. But then Shen Wei started acting a little... off. He went over and hugged Yun Lan and Yun Lan who was worried, started rambling about how they should go to the hospital for Shen Wei to get a thorough check up. Shen Wei merely smiled and kept staring at Yun Lan's lips. He didn't seem to be paying attention to what Yun Lan was saying at all. Finally, Shen Wei opened his mouth and spoke, "Mhmm, have you finished speaking?" Before Yun Lan could even answer, Shen Wei brought his lips to Yun Lan's and kissed him hard. Yun Lan was left in a state of shock for the rest of the day. He wondered if he had died and went to heaven. But that couldn't be, because why would heaven take someone as obscene as himself? 

What they didn't know was that the chocolates which were given to Yun Lan contained alcohol. Since Shen Wei only nibbled on a few, the alcohol content was not enough to knock him out. But it was certainly enough to bring the bolder side of him out.
