We all awaited
the opening of gates.
Lovingly kept
In the cage, safe.
For years like ages
With familiar faces.
With truth and graces,
And happiness’ chases.
The time arrived
For opening of gates.
Our heartbeats unite
With fright of world’s trades.
One by one.
Few foot stepped out.
turned around and squinted
at memories' ground.
their eyes shone
with dreams and their light.
they remember the conviction.
they would never despite.
I smiled at 'em
as they were shallow.
I watched them go.
too scared to follow.
they gained all the fruits
as they lived outside.
respecting their conviction
they reached back inside.
now, they are here.
with a sparkle in their soul.
I regret as they narrate
what beauty world showed.
