You make me sigh
when you hold my hand
Because nothing feels better
Than you and me together on an adventure.
Besides, everything seems brighter
When I feel your fingers intertwine with mine.

You make me smile when you disturb me
When I’m lost in my thoughts.
Because nothing seems quite as interesting
As our tangle of conversations
where your ideas clash with mine.
Besides, everything becomes perfect
with the two of us together in our own little world.

You make me laugh when you get jealous
of other guys for no reason at all.
Because nothing is more hilarious
Than the way you shoot killer glances at them.  
Besides, everything seems okay again
when I assure you that my eyes are only for you.

But you also make me sigh
when you tell me all things that I would rather not know
Like the way it feels to be by her side.
Because nothing is as painful as knowing that I’ll never be enough.
And everything comes crashing down,
When I realize that I may hold your hand, but not your heart.

Still, you can make me smile
but it’s to cover up the hurt
when you lock eyes with hers
and your whole world stops.
Because nothing else seems to matter to you
Than the way her hair falls perfectly into place
while everything else around you vanishes, even me, who was just right beside you.

And you can still make me laugh
when all I want to do is cry
Because I know I must be happy despite everything I feel.
Because that’s what I am for, right?
And while my eyes may be yours,
yours will always look at her.
