- S U M M A R Y - The town of Shady River hasn't had a serial killer since Mrs. Florence Benton, the town's resident gossiper, was in her twenties, which was a long time ago. All of the cases of the Dark Reaper went unsolved back in the eighties and were never addressed again. All of Shady River's residents just wanted to forget the years where everyone's heart filled with terror when they strayed outside the locked doors of their homes. The years when the men would keep their wives close, and their pistols closer. The years when twenty fell dead at the hands of the Dark Reaper. That was thirty-five years ago.
Now, when everyone has finally forgotten about the past and is ready to move on, the Dark Reaper resurfaces with brand new targets, all of them teenagers. The only difference is that this time, the killer is giving one young lady the chance to solve the case. Who would've guessed that the captain of the cheerleading team at Shady River High School would be the one responsible for the survival or death of her classmates and possibly the future of her town? Certainly not Calamity Taylor.
