As the years passed I started to forget about the island and all on it.
I went to school and made new friends. I became a normal teenage with a normal life.
There was one thing that bothered me. I couldn't go to the beach in worries that I would see the ghost girl again.
A few months after my eighteenth birthday I moved out and found a place of my own far from the sea.
Luke came too of course.
After a while the bad dreams just faded away.
I had a lot of good memories with Luke but as time went on the good memories stared to fade and turn into bad ones.

Eventually I fell out of love with Luke.
It was never meant to be.
By the time I was twenty-five I had gone almost half way around the world traveling.
It was hard with some of the hot contries not to swim in the sea.

When I came back I bought a new home. As small apartment in New York.
I had a job as a shop assistant there.
I diddent get paid a lot but enough to pay my rent.
I had heard the news about Alices baby girl her name Goergia.
I went back to visit every month.
I saw Goergia getting older and beautiful.
Alice lived in the town with her boyfriend Robbie.
They lived a few blocks away from Josie.

When I was in my early thirties I met a man called Nicky.
His name brought back memories but I tried to not let that stop me.
But after a while I couldn't handle it.
I decided to move back to the town to try and see Luke again I still has feelings for him deep down.
But I was too late.
He was married and had two kids.
He was now working in the old cafe beside the dock with his twelve year old son. He was the manager.

I got a house there near Alice.
I would always go over to see little Georgia.
Eventually I met a man named Alex. He was new to town.
We fell  deeply in love. Time went by and we got married and had children of our own.
We lived happily there for years until one night Georgia diddent come home. We searched everywhere for her.
A old lady who was visiting her relatetions in the town claimed that she was taken by an old man on a little boat.
My heart sank.
I knew she it was him.
And that he had alredy eaten her and dumped her body.
But everyone in the town had hope of her one day going home.
Alice shut herself away from everyone. I was scared for my own children.
I told them never to go near the sea. Of course it was hard for kids who lived right beside the sea never to go near it.

A few weeks after that another child had vanished.
Luke's little girl Sadie.

He came to me looking for answers.
We both new what had happened.
I sat him down and told him that she was probably already gone.
He wanted to go to the island to try and find her.
I warned him not to.

Months passed and Luke never returned.
My life was falling apart.

Every few weeks a child would dissappear and knowbody had a clue. But I did.
And it killed me to just sit back and let it happen.
I felt it would be more safe if we moved away.
So back to New York we went.
And carried on with our lives.

Now at the age of seventy I have the nightmares every so often.
I plan to go back to the island one day soon.

" Well let me come with you grandma! "

" Oh Rosie, It would be too dangerous you are better off staying here with your sister.
I won't be long."

" Grandma I'm almost thirteen. I will be fine."

"Are you certain Rosie?"

" Yes grandma"

" Then we will leave tomorrow!"
