Granny - Kharisma she said when I walked through the door . She eyed me

Granny - why haven't you been a school ? She scolded me

I brushed her question off as I hugged Kacey and Spiracy

Granny - answer me now , you out here like your fucking grown not going to school and shit . And I barely see you here .

Me - granny I be working

Granny - where ?

Me - McDonald's and I baby sit I said calmly that's how we still have the house

I sat on the couch as she stared at me

Granny - you shouldn't have to do this , you can come live with me baby

Me - it's ok granny I smiled at her and she grabbed my hand .

I left her house shortly after and Dee dropped me off at Dave's .

I been working for him for about 2 weeks . Babysitting when he needed it which was every day .

I knocked on Dave's door and he opened it in a wide beater .

I looked at his tattoos and his body , this man is blessed . I quickly stopped when I noticed he noticed me .

He paid me once a couple hundred .
I wasn't tripping , it was more than my McDonalds check .

Me - hi I said as the door shut

Kairi crawled to me squealing

Dave watched her

I laughed and picked her up

She started screaming and smiling

Dave just watched with this look in his eyes .

I became uncomfortable with him just staring at me and shifted legs .

I followed him to a room and sat down

He came back and handed me a wad of money in all 20's

Me - I can't take this

Me - no I can't

Me - this is a lot of money

My heart started beating fast when he said that . We rarely talk .

I come , he leave , I leave when he get back .

I brushed off his nickname , he probably call everyone that .

Dave - you worked for it and Kairi loves you .

Me - I know but -

Dave - but nothing babygirl , I see your going through a lot and this shit ain't nothing .

He nodded and left .

I was grateful for the 2 bands he gave me .
