"Hai! I'm the Doctor, and you are?"
I kinda shook my head, making sure what I saw was real.
"Um, Alice, Alice Grace..."
He reached out his hand to shake it. I just stood and stared while we shook hands.
I pointed towards the box.
"What is that?"
He looked back at it, and then turned back to me. He pointed his thumb at it.
"It's a Police Box! Can't you read?"
I raised my brow, this guy was a madman. I mean, even his wardrobe was off!
"A fez, and a bow tie? Really?"
He narrowed his eyes. And stated,
" Fezzes and bow ties are cool" And straightened his tie, and propped the fez onto his head.
"Alright then, Doctor. What are you doing out in the forest, with this, 'Police Box'?"
He looked puzzled.
"What year is it?"
What a dumb question to ask.
"2012, why?"
He looked at the Box.
"Oh nothing... Why are you out this far in the woods..?"
I help up my book and shook it at him.
"Oh, reading, readings boring, time travel is more fun!"
My mouth hung open, and I was trying to pick up the pieces, making sure I heard correctly.
"Time travel? As in, going back and forward in time?"
He nodded. He must be crazy, I mean, no human can Time Travel!
"Oh yeah, Time Travel is great! Ever tried it?"
I shook my head, I mean, of course not!
"Do you want to?"
Well of course I would, I nodded slowly.
He grabbed my hand pulled me inside the box.
