As we walked down the yellow brick road we noticed something different about it. It just seemed so......dull. That's the only way I know how to describe it. The color had faded and the bricks were out of place. Like someone had come and ripped it up.
Then all of a sudden we saw something shimmering in the distance. But it was too far away to make out what it was. As we walked further and further the image started to get clearer.
"Dorothy, I think those are the slippers.", I said.
"Perfect! I'll go get them and then we can keep going!", Dorothy sang with joy.
As she reached down for them, I yelped, "Dorothy wait! Don't you think that it's a little suspicious they were just sitting there?!"
"Oh Toto you are just paranoid, I mean this is Oz! It's a wonderful magical place!"
"Ok but I can't help but thinking it's a trap."
"Well, it's not. Let's keep going. Okay?
"Okay, I guess."
So we kept on going. But I still have that feeling in the back of my mind.
