Natural History Museum
Your POV
Scrooge and I arrived at the History Museum for Glomgold Wing Grand Opening. The museum is so beautiful and so huge. "Now lass don't get lost or talk to Flintheart. He can be deceiving and greedy." I nodded and saw a beautiful duck come down the stairs. "Oh no its Goldie O'Gilt, my ex partner. All she cared about besting me and trying to get one hand up above me." I looked at her and she was dressed in a gold dress and her hair was tied up in a elegant bun. I looked at Scrooge as he was becoming nervous yet had a stern look in his eye. "Hello Scrooge been a long time and I see you haven't changed a bit." Scrooge grumbled. "Goldie O'Gilt still stealing wallets and gold aren't you?" Goldie chuckled, "Oh of course not Scrooge. Unless they are children and had gold." Flintheart Glomgold came over with a sly smirk on his face.

"Ah Scroogie. I see you met my date for this evening". Goldie scoffed and replied, "I am not your date." The music began to play the tango. Scrooge handed me his cane and they went off to dance. My eyes could not believe what was happening. Flintheart saw my expression turn into sadness. "Why, (Y/N), Scrooge has told me all about you and how you clean up the place with the horrible woman, known as Beakley, away on vacation. How do you like your job so far?" "Its...fine," I responded still watching at Scrooge and Goldie dancing away. "Oh I see what is happening here. You like Scroogie don't ye, lass?" I nodded sadly, still keeping my eyes on Scrooge dipping Goldie down. "Wee lass, don't go running after Scrooge. The man is a lunatic and only cares about himself. Why don't you go for someone like Flintheart Glomgold? Then you can work for Glomgold Industries."

I shook my head. "Thank you, Glomgold. But, maybe Scrooge is just friends with Goldie. Maybe they are just reuniting after not seeing each other for a long time." Flintheart shrugged and began to walk away. "Fine have it your way, lassie. Just don't get yer hopes up for Scrooge. He'll play your emotions like....like uh...um an instrument that plays." I saw Scrooge walk up to me. "Thank you Scrooge for that dance. Maybe you should try more on your moves though." Scrooge smiled at her and thanked her as well for the dance. "Pleasure is all mine, Goldie. Come, (Y/N), let us go retire for the evening." He told his cane with him and we began to walk away from the museum into the limo.

I looked out from the tinted window, while Scrooge still had a gleam in his eyes. "Lass, did you have fun?" I continued to stare out the window. "Lass? Lass?!" "Oh! Sorry Scrooge, I didnt hear you. Yes I had a great time," I lied. Scrooge smiled at me, "Thats good, because I invited Goldie to the manor for old times sake." My heart dropped as he mentioned her name. "Sounds good."

Next day
I slowly got up and got dressed in my uniform. Scrooge was dressed in his usual attire and had an eccentric look on his face. "Good mornin', (Y/N)." Please be ready when Goldie comes in." The doorbell rang and I went to the door. Goldie stood there, dressed in casual clothes. "Hello, umm maid." I growled and said as politely as I could. " Good Morning to you too, Goldie, Scrooge is outside in the garden. Right this way." I lead her to the garden where Scrooge sat at the bench we sat down at yesterday.

"Ah, Goldie, so nice for you to come by." He kissed her hand, making me sick to my stomach. Goldie sat down and I spoke, "Would you care for a drink or anything to eat?" Goldie smirked, looking straight into my soul. "Oh yes I would love some champagne and rice crackers please." Scrooge smiled at her, thinking about something, but what? I went into the kitchen and poured the champagne into two glasses and rice cakes on a platter.

I brought them on a tray to carry out to them. Something caused me to trip and spill all off the champagne on Goldie and Scrooge. "Oh! My favorite shirt!" Goldie exclaimed. Scrooge got a hankerkief and whipped her clean. "(Y/N)! What in blue blazes do you think you are doing?!" I looked at him, trying not to cry. "I tripped on something, sir." Goldie began to cry. "Oh my shirt was from my great, great, great, great grandmother before she....she...." She bawled onto Scrooge's shoulder. "There, there lass. (Y/N)! We will talk about this later. Now go dust off or something." I was shocked about the tone of voice that Scrooge used and I stood, brushing the dirt and rocks from my knees. "Yes sir."

I walked back inside, seeing Goldie in the corner of my eye giving me an evil stare. I couldn't believe what Scrooge was getting himself into. I went into the kitchen and dusted off some shelves while glancing at them. Scrooge hugged Goldie and they closed the gap between them, kissing!

My heart broke in two, my eyes began to glisten with tears. I dropped down to my scraped knees and began to cry. "Its too late....too late....too late for love." I heard Launchpad come in and he dropped down beside me. "Hey, Miss. (Last name), what's wrong?" "Oh Launchpad," I cried, "Scrooge and I were not meant to be. He is in love with Goldie O'Gilt." Launchpad held me close and tried to calm me down. "I think he is just reliving his golden (knock on wood) days. Maybe he is trying to find things that make him happy. You want him to be happy, right?" I nodded. Launchpad smiled. "Good. Now be happy for good ol' Launchpad McQuack!" I got up and hugged him. "Thank you, Launchpad." I heard Scrooge and Goldie come in so I shooed Launchpad away, cleaning the rest of the shelves with my feather duster.

"Good times, Goldie. Good times. Well you better get on home, lass." "Bye bye Scroogie," Goldie said, blowing a kiss to him before leaving. Scrooge turned to me. "Lass. Come with me in my office." I gulped and followed him into his office, fearing what he might say about the little accident that happened outside. He locked the door while I sat down in a chair. "Now lass I know what you did was unacceptable and an accident. So tomorrow you will dust in the attic and basement. Along with the garage." I nodded, "Yes sir." "On another note, you didn't tell me what you were going to say to me yesterday. So spill it." I gulped and looked at him in the eyes. "Scrooge. I can't." Scrooge furrowed his brows. "And why not?" My eyes began to fill with water, my fingernails scratched at my knees, making them bleed slightly. Scrooge gasped and took a look at my knee. "Lass did this happen today?" I nodded, tears finally rolling down my cheeks.

"Lassie, don't cry. Please. Just tell me what is on yer mind." I couldn't hold it in any longer as I hugged Scrooge. "I LOVE YOU, SCROOGE MCDUCK!", I shouted loudly, crying harder.
