I was recently given a garden Gnome. The purveyor of this gift was someone who I dearly love, slighty less than Vlad the Impaler.
This is not the first gift I have received from my Mother-in-Law, I once received a prettily marked package marked 'health food' with the instructions to ingest large volumes with each meal. My Doctor advised against this, as Cyanide can be injurious to health!
Anyway, I digress, I placed this quite ugly gift in the garden, where it belonged, just next to the compost heap, no, not IN the compost heap, next to it.
When I arrived home one night, I found this monstrosity in my bedroom. I was not amused!
My wife explained that we were expecting a storm and he would be safer.
Well, to cut a long story into shorter parts, if you decide to read on, you will find that all was not as it seemed.
Note to Mother-in-Law, Could do better!
