The great journey

Sudden betrayal

It was morning and all the covenant forces woke up,

"Another day and we still can't find fuel" said Faradel,

"Be patient, we will find fuel eventually" said Vladorus,

"And when is eventually" said Faradel in a sarcastic tone,

"Watch your sarcasm" said Vladorus,

"My apologies Arbiter, I'm not very patient" said Faradel as he starts reading his book,

"I noticed" said Vladorus,

Vladorus leaves the bunker to go train,

"I must not fail Envy, I can't let the great journey left unfinished" said Vladorus as he trains,

"You're really determined to protect Envy" said Yang,

"I have no choice, I can't let the covenant fall apart.... Not again" said Vladorus,

"Sounds like this wasn't the first time" said Yang,

"My brother was there when the great schism began" said Vladorus,

"The great schism?" said Yang,

"The great schism was a small civil war between the members of the covenant years ago, the jiralhanae murdered the sangheili and became the prophets escorts, then the sangheili sided with the UNSC to destroy the covenant, then years later this covenant was formed and we won't have to worry about the jiralhanae this time" said Vladorus,

"Whoa...... Do you ever get to talk with you're older brother?" said Yang,

"I never had time to talk the Thel anymore, not to mention his group he formed called the swords of sanghelios....... If I dare tried to set foot near him his forces would have shot me down" said Vladorus,

"That sounds awful, I couldn't imagine if me and Ruby were separated that way" said Yang,

Vlad held Yang in his arms for comfort,

"I'm sure you and Ruby would always be by each others sides forever" said Vladorus,

"Yeah" said Yang as she calms down,

"Nothing can separate you and Ruby and you won't anyone separate the two of you" said Vladorus,

"I promised that I wouldn't let anyone hurt Ruby" said Yang,

"Any you will keep that promise even to you're dying breath" said Vladorus,

"Yeah" said Yang.

After awhile, Vladorus found himself in front of a forerunner structure covered in plant life,

"This structure must have been here for centuries" said Vladorus,

Vladorus saw the door start opening,

"As I suspected" said Vlad as he goes in active camouflage and moves away from the door,

A group of Promethean soldiers, crawlers and knights walked out of the structure and left to scout around the area,

Vladorus snuck in the ancient forerunner structure and deactivates his active camouflage,

"So, this is where they've been hiding all this time" said Vladorus,

"Indeed, it interests me how patient the Prometheans can get" said Envy emerging from the shadows,

"Holy prophet, I thought you left" said Vladorus,

"I was almost off Remnant until I saw this structure, so I snuck my way in trying to find out what the Prometheans are looking for" said Envy,

"We must be quick and careful, there's a possibility that Warden Eternal is here" said Vladorus,

"Indeed" said Envy,

Vlad and Envy searched until they came across a giant hole in the ground,

"Could this be the parasites doing?" said Vladorus,

"It's a possibility.... But a low possibility" said Envy,

"We'll just have to keep looking" said Vladorus,

"Tell me.... Do you ever wish to find something you desired in your life.... Something you love" said Envy,

"Holy prophet, I fail to understand" said Vladorus,

"So you continue to hide it" said Envy,

"What...... Do you mean" said Vladorus,

"I'm talking about your relationship with those four humans!" said Envy in anger,

"How did you find out" said Vladorus,

"You know how I leave every time after I speak to you or do an investigation on this planet, I never really left, instead I was watching you monitoring your progress but instead I find with the enemy of the great journey, besides they cared enough to follow you here" said Envy,

Vladorus looked behind him and saw team RWBY hiding,

"No, You will not hurt them, I won't allow it" said Vladorus,

"I was afraid you would react that way, this planet is going to get glassed anyway so what's the point in caring" said Envy,

"What!, you can't do that, they don't know about the great journey they're not involved" said Vladorus,

"Have you seen this planets military and weaponry, why do you think The Banished came here and left, I look through those audio logs and they wanted this planet to salvage the weapons and such, but they retreated because this planets military was at it's peak, we can't risk losing the great journey therefore we must destroy them" said Envy,

"They were merely protecting they're planet, they're innocent!?" said Vladorus,

"I was afraid things would come to this eventually so you leave me no other choice, I'm sorry but things have to be this way, you will be remembered by many" said Envy as he gets out his plasma pistol,

"Strike me down and you will regret what happens next, Yang will kill you if you kill me" said Vladorus,

"As if I am scared" said Envy as he shoots Vlad with an overcharged plasma pistol shot,

"No!" said Yang,

Vlad's shields were down and he fell down the giant hole,

"Well, you four enjoy yourselves now because Warden Eternal is coming to get you right about now" said Envy as Warden Eternal walks in,

"You won't get away with this" said Yang,

"I already have" said Envy as he teleports away,

"Intruders detected, kill them" said Warden Eternal as a group of Prometheans ran in.
