"Fanning the Flames"
There in the depths of my heart
Flames continue to brightly burn.
Strings that can't be torn apart
Flow like river of no return.
Burning with a red atmosphere
That creates a sensation
Of twisted roses that adhere
To the mood of the 'ccasion.
Here I am all pretentious,
Waiting softly for his remark.
After being so gracious,
I am left alone in the dark.
Left me with no choice but to chase,
Hoping to ever win this race.
Listen to his voice; call on his name.
Doing my best in fanning the flames.
As time passes, the heat dies
Slowly, leaving behind fragments.
Ways and ideas that have been tried
End up as big impediments.
There remains a constant heartthrob
That reveals my bashfulness
And makes my thoughts to a full stop
That ends up with no progress.
Though I've shown my other side,
The me that's way so different,
There's no way that I'll confide
How I feel in these events.
Though there seems no hope in this way,
I'll be just daydreaming all day.
My mind's stubborn to erase his name,
For it can't resist fanning the flames.
