I'm lying on my bed, going through the school schedule for tomorrow in my head. I hear a light thud on my carpet. "Metias, I know it's you!" I shout. He chuckles, "Oh Junebug, just wanted to see you before you go to school tomorrow. How's it going?"
"God Metias, you don't need to keep checking on me."
"Obviously I do."
"Why do I even need school?"
" You don't, Junebug. Mom and dad just want you to have a normal education. Not one taught by my commander. "
" Their curriculum is so below my level. "
"June! Don't say that."
"Whatever"
"Okay, just if you need anything, tell me," Metias says, leaving my room.
"I won't," I reply letting my thoughts wander about the new possibilities of school.
